Insurance Marketing Representative for Texas

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Insurance Marketing Representative for Texas will be responsible for marketing to independent insurance producers in target areas by calling and meeting with existing and prospective producers to increase production and expand producer base in the state of Texas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Increase production and expand producer base through visiting and evaluating prospective insurance producers. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as weekly schedules and daily call reports. Monitor competition by gathering current marketing information on programs, company features, new programs, etc. Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating results and competitive developments. Assist in resolving producer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and submitting recommendations to management.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: 2-3 years of field marketing experience in Texas. Independent insurance agency experience with focus on non-standard automobile. Self-motivated with strong selling skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey ideas and information in a clear, concise and persuasive manner, adjusting presentations to different audiences as necessary. Ability to develop a good rapport with producers and other company personnel and conduct activities in a manner which enhances company reputation. Ability to track activities and follow-up with producers as necessary. Strong prospecting, presentation and client relationship skills. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending producer organizational meetings and conventions, reviewing professional publications, and establishing and maintaining networks within the industry. Ability to effectively manage marketing territory to achieve desired results. Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory and outside territory as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Knowledgeable and experienced with a PC using Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge and experience using various comparative rating software programs. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
